Obituary

Frank N. Mucciarone, 86 of Franklin died August 26 in the Milford Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of Dorothy E. (Talamini) Mucciarone.
Born in Milford, September 23, 1921, the son of the late Charles and Luisa (Mucciarone) Mucciarone, Mr. Mucciarone was a lifelong Franklin resident.
Mr. Mucciarone had worked for the rail road for 43 years before retiring as a car inspector.
He began with the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad, then Penn Central Railroad and ended his career with CONRAIL.
Following his retirement, he worked part time at the Star Market in Franklin.
Earlier in his life, he was a co-owner of the former San Angelo Club on Cottage Street in Franklin.
Mr. Mucciarone served in the Army during World War II attaining the rank of PFC.
He enjoyed sports especially the Patriots and the New York Yankees.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Paul Mucciarone and his wife, Beth of Franklin and David Mucciarone and his wife, Jeanne of Walpole.
He is also survived by his brother, Anthony “Bassie” Mucciarone of Franklin and sister, Ann Vendetti of Franklin.
He was the grandfather of Rae, Jeff, Brian, Christopher, Andrew, Kaitlin, Nicholas and Michael. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, August 30 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin at 8:15 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church at 9:00 a.m.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
