John P. “Jackie” Masucci, 61 of Medford, formerly of Charlestown, died suddenly on Tuesday at his home.
Born in Cambridge, son of Josephine (Lombardo) Masucci of Medford and the late Anthony Masucci. He is a graduate of Cathedral High School in Boston, class of 1965, he went on to receive a certificate in aircraft maintenance from East Coast Aero Tech.
Mr. Masucci was a Navy Veteran who served on board the U.S.S. Independence during the Vietnam War. He is a retired aircraft mechanic and had worked for many years at U.S. Air in Logan Airport.
An all around “handy man” he was always fixing, remodeling or painting things around the house for his mother and family. Jack was an avid sports fan and a true-blue Red Sox Fan. He also enjoyed the New England Patriots.
In addition to his mother he is survived by a sister Rose Maher and her husband John of Quincy, a brother Gaspare Masucci and his wife Margaret of Roslindale. Uncle of Courtney, Alyssa, and Tony Masucci and Mark Maher.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford Saturday at 9AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford at 10AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4-7.
