New Bedford – Betty M. (Hill) Boehler of E. Freetown died August 25, 2008 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the widow of Frederick C. N. Boehler.
Mrs. Boehler was born in E. Freetown, daughter of the late Howard N. and Dorothy (Villiers) Hill, and was a lifelong resident of the town. She was a member of the East Freetown Congregational Christian Church. She was employed as a bookkeeper by LifeStream Inc., Fall River until her retirement. She was the former owner of Boehler’s Garage, E. Freetown. She was a former Girl Scout and Brownie troop leader, a member of the Ladies Friendly Circle and the E. Freetown Woman’s Club. She enjoyed knitting, reading, traveling, cooking and most of all spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughters: Nancy A. Boehler and Martha A. Deneault and her husband Roger L. of E. Freetown; a sister: Carol V. Blair of E. Freetown; 5 grandchildren: Robin Hallett, Roger L. Deneault, Jr., Matthew Deneault, Marc Deneault and Melissa Deneault all of E. Freetown; a great-granddaughter: Rachel Hallett of E. Freetown; and several nieces & nephews.

Visiting hours on Thursday, August 28, 2008, 2:00-4:00 P.M. & 7:00-9:00 P.M.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 29, 2008 at 12:00 noon at the Kirby Funeral Home, 61 Tarkiln Hill Road, New Bedford.
Interment in Chace Cemetery, E. Freetown.
