Richard F. Herrick, 76, of Salem, NH died Sun. Aug 24th at his home.
Richard was born in Haverhill, MA to the late Harold and Alice Herrick. He earned his diploma from Haverhill High School and Haverhill Trade School where he studied electricity. During the Korean War, Richard served in the Naval Air Development Squadron ONE NAS as a Petty Officer.
Richard retired at the age of 62, after being a self employed Master Electrician and Locksmith operating his business in the Greater Salem Area. He was a Life Member of the DAV, where he served as a Vice Commander. He was a Honorary Life Member of the Derry-Salem Elks Lodge and a member of the American Legion.
Richard spent his retirement doing things he loved including working with his hands, building model air planes, playing pool, teaching his grandsons how to use his tools of trade and how to cast a fly rod.
He was predeceased by brothers Robert, Kenneth, Lloyd, Donald and sisters Alice Flagg and Eunice Prime.

Calling hours will be Fri Aug. 29th from 4-7 PM at Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St., Salem, NH. A Funeral Service will follow at 7PM.
