Theodore G. Burik of Olyphant died Saturday in the AseraCare Hospice Unit at Mid Valley Hospital, Peckville, after a brief illness.
Born in Scranton, son of the late Dr. Nicholas and Catherine Toth Burik, he was a graduate of Olyphant High School. He was employed for many years at Casket Shells Inc. and was recently employed by Gentex Corp. He was a member of SS. Cyril and Methodius Church.
Surviving are three brothers, Gregory and Paul, both of Olyphant; and Christopher and wife, Elaine, Binghamton, N.Y.; an aunt, Margaret Magdon, Florida; and a niece, Katie Burik.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Nicholas and Stephen.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the Michael P. Glinsky Funeral Home Inc., 129 Grant St., Olyphant, with Divine Liturgy at 9:30 in SS. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Greeek Catholic Church, River Street, Olyphant, to be celebrated by Monsignor Stephen Hrynuck. Interment, parish cemetery, Peckville.
