Obituary

Samuel “Sam” A. Clark, III, age 54, of Derry, NH, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH. He was born on January 7, 1954, a son of the late S. Arnold and Harriet (Willmott) Clark. Sam was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy Class of 1972 and later attended New Hampshire Community College where he studied Computer Graphic Design. He was owner and operator of Sam’s Cleaning Service for 20 years. Sam was a generous, fun-loving gentle spirit. He had a great love for music and played the piano at many social and family gatherings.

Survivors include his partner, Robert Ayer of Victor, NY; one sister, Virginia Clark and companion, Jackie Collerette of Hooksett, NH and his second mother Mildred Bennett of Chester, NH; his aunt, Ruth Durgin of Winthrop, MA. Surviving also include, several cousins, Cheryl Walker and her husband Donald of Gainesville, VA, Cathy Durgin of Las Vegas, NV, Bruce Durgin of Hudson, MA, Howard Durgin of Amesbury, MA, Sharyn Ramos and her husband Richard of Derry and Deidre Breise and her husband Al of Winthrop, MA, a close friend, Robert Johnson of Pepperell, MA and several cousins and many friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2008 at 10:00am in St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 63 E. Broadway Derry. Following the service there will be a procession to Edson Cemetery, 1375 Gorham St., Lowell, MA for committal prayers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to, The American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St, Framingham, MA 01701 or to a charity of one’s choice. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is in charge of the arrangements.
