WORCESTER-Roland J. Beauregard, 76, of 21 Dillon Street, formerly of Cherry Valley, died Friday, March 28th in the home of his son in Charlton after a brief illness. He leaves 2 sons, John M. Beauregard, husband of Deborah (LaCasse) Beauregard of Charlton, and James R. Beauregard of Cherry Valley; a daughter, Ann I. Hatton, wife of Tim Hatton of Virginia Beach, VA, ; 2 brothers, Raymond Beauregard of Grafton and Norman Beauregard of Millbury; 4 grandchildren, Jessica R. and Michael Rossik of Virginia Beach, VA, Matthew J. and Maggie A. Beauregard of Charlton; his former wife, Phyllis A. (Howard) Beauregard of Cherry Valley, several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by 3 brothers, Rene, Emil and Robert Beauregard.
He was born and raised in Worcester, the son of Joseph and Irene (Lozeau) Beauregard and attended schools there. He was a World War 2 Navy veteran. Mr. Beauregard was employed as a master pressman for Century Press, Inc. for 46 years, retiring in 1990 and also was apartment manager at Dillon Heights. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, a devout catholic and an avid handyman.
The funeral will be Monday, March 31st from O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 10:00 am in St. Joseph’s Church, 35 Hamilton Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Sunday, March 30th from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
