Leland E. "Lee" Boles, 77, of Derry, NH, died Thursday, August 21, 2008 in the Parkland Medical Center in Derry. Mr. Boles was born in Linneus, ME on May 14, 1931, a son of the late Lester and Olley (Henderson) Boles. He was a resident of Derry for over 20 years, formerly living in Londonderry, NH and Northern Maine. Mr. Boles was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict, and was a member of the American Legion. He was the owner and operator of Lee Boles Plumbing, Heating and Fuel in Derry for 40 years. Mr. Boles was a member of Calvary Bible Church in Derry for 20 years. He thoroughly enjoyed a special Thursday night Bible study, loved to camp and spend time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Janice Boles of Derry; four sons, Douglas Boles, Kevin Boles, Kerry Boles, and Curtis Boles all of Derry; three daughters, Deborah Steckis of Manchester, NH, Kimberly Dunton, and Katie Boles both of Derry; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one sister, Norma Keaton of Cary, ME; two brothers, Kenneth Boles of AL, and Terry Boles of Oakfield, ME; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours were held on Sunday, August 24th from 1 - 4pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Funeral services were held on Monday at 1:00pm in the Calvary Bible Church, 145 Hampstead Rd., Derry. The burial was in the Forest Hill Cemetery in E. Derry.
