New Bedford - Urbano Botelho, age 76, passed away Friday, August 22, 2008 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the husband of Mariana Jesus (Brum) Botelho of Dartmouth, father of Maria M. Botelho of New Bedford, grandfather of Cole of New Bedford , brother of Isabel Pastor of Toronto, Canada, Natalia Medeiros and Jose Botelho of Somerville, MA. and the late Manuel Botelho. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Botelho was a son of the late Jose and Georgina Conceicao (Marques) Botelho. He was born in St. Michael, Azores and lived in this area since 1968.
Mr. Botelho’s Funeral will be at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 9:45 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Julie Billiart Church, in Dartmouth at 11:00 A.M. Relatives and Friends are invited. Visiting hours will be from 4 to 7 PM on Sunday. Burial will take place at Rural Cemetery.
