Pat (Camia) Buttner, 80 years, of Largo, FL, formerly of Brockton, died unexpectedly August 20, 2008, surrounded by her family and friends. She was the wife of Atty Joseph R. Buttner. Pat was born, raised and educated in Boston, daughter of the late George and Helen (Clark) Camia. She had been a resident of Brockton for over 30 years and currently shared her time between Largo, FL and summers on the Cape with her family. She had been employed by and retired from the Brockton Public School Department after 25 years; the last 15 were spent on the Project Graduate Program for Teen Parents. She then relocated to the West Coast of Florida. Pat enjoyed boating and beaching with her family and friends. At one time Pat had been active in Brockton and state politics.
She was the loving and devoted mother of Trisha Cadman and her husband Al of Hanson, Janet Hutchins and her husband Edward of Easton, Jacquelyn Bessette and her husband Peter of Whitman, Jay Buttner and his wife Denise of Norton, Steven Buttner and his wife Joanne of Lakeville and Michele Bergeron and her husband John of Norton; grandmother of Matthew & Alisha Cadman, Heidi and Kyle Hutchins, Peter and Nicholas Bessette, Zachary and Leah Buttner, Madisen and Maxwell Buttner and Jacob and Gabrielle Bergeron; great grandmother of Noah Cadman-Hopkins and Victoria Bessette and sister of George J. Camia.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Monday at 8am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9am. Visiting Hours Sunday 3-7pm.
