Bette R. Brennen, 82, of Derry, NH, died Thursday, August 21, 2008 in the Exeter Hospital in Exeter, NH. Mrs. Brennen was born in Birmingham, AL on August 6, 1926, a daughter of the late Daniel and Bessie (Robinson) Sullivan. She was a resident of Derry since 1964, formerly living in Salem, NH. Mrs. Brennen was employed for Gallery of Homes in Salem as a realtor for 13 years. She had also been the secretary for the Board of Realtors in Salem, and had received the Realtor of the Year award in 1978. Mrs. Brennen was also an owner and operator of Brennen's Bullmastiffs in Derry since 1972.
She is survived by three daughters, Diane Kozdra and her husband William of N. Salem, NH, Sandra Baker and her husband Robert, and Linda Kinney and her husband Kurt all of New Port Richie, FL; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one great great grandson; her sister, Margaret Major and her husband Stan of Cantuillo, TX; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter F. Brennen, Jr. in 2007.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, a private graveside service will be held in the Forest Hill Cemetery in E. Derry. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is handling the arrangements.
