Kenneth W. Heins, 78, of Westminster, died Tuesday August 19, at Henry
Heywood Memorial Hospital in Gardner
Ken was born in Fitchburg the son of William R. and Aurelia R. (Wuth)
Heins and lived in Westminster all his life. He graduated from Fitchburg
high school in 1947.
Ken owned and operated Sunny Knoll Dairy farm and did a house to house
delivery route for 42 years until December of last year. He played clarinet
at band concerts in Westminster and Lunenburg and marched in local
parades for many years. He was devoted to his family and his dairy farm.
Ken was a member of the First Congregational Church of Westminster.
Ken leaves his sons Karl W. Heins and his wife Jacqueline and Glen A.
Heins of Westminster and his daughter Gretchen M. and her husband Mark
Lafferty of Ashburnham. His sister Verna M. Soini of Fitchburg. Twelve
grandchildren. His wife of 20 years, Janet Marie (VanHazinga) died
September 1, 1977.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday August 26 at 11:00 A.M. in the
First Congregational Church of Westminster, Rev. Robert Duebber will
officiate. Burial will follow in Woodside Cemetery. Calling hours in the
