John J. Sobleskie, 49, formerly of Mount Cobb died July 20 at home in Buffalo, N.Y., after an apparent heart attack.
Born in Scranton, son of the late John E. and Theresa Powanda Sobleskie, he was a graduate of Scranton Preparatory School and attended the University of Scranton. An avid golfer, John was most proud his hole-in-one at Brighton Golf Course, New York.
Surviving are two sisters, Jacqueline Senyk and husband, Dr. Michael Senyk, Blakely; and Caroline Sobleskie, Buffalo; a niece, Juliana Senyk; aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Edwin J. Sobleskie, in 1997.
Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Eulalia's Church, Blue Shutters Road, Elmhurst, by the Rev. John Polednak. Interment, St. Michael's Cemetery, Jessup.
