NEW BEDFORD … Angelo Silva, 80, of New Bedford died Tuesday, August 19, 2008, after a long illness.
He was the husband of Maria Rosa (Pimentel) Silva.
He died at St. Luke’s Hospital, New Bedford.
He was born in Stevenson, NY a son of the late Jorge and Maryanne (Ventura) Silva and had lived most of his life in New Bedford.
He was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church, New Bedford.
He was a laborer with the Laborers International Union of America local #385 retiring in 1984 after more than 20 years.
Mr. Silva was a Korean Conflict Veteran.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, 2 sons Steve Silva and Michael Silva both of New Bedford, a daughter Aida Reainbeault of East Greenwich, RI, 4 grandsons.
Calling hours to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Friday from 12 Noon to 1 PM at the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, (508) 672 – 0291) followed by committal prayers and interment at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
