WRENTHAM: Kathryn E. (Harris) Dewey 81 of Wrentham, and a former resident of Franklin and Corning, New York, died Sunday August 17, 2008 at the Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wrentham, following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Lewis M. Dewey, who died in 1984.
Born in Williamsport, Penn. October 11, 1926 a daughter of the late Harry E. and Virginia M. (Zaydell) Harris, she lived most of her life in New York before moving to this area in 1993. She was a retired homemaker.
She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Franklin. She is survived by a daughter Anne L. Kinney of Franklin, her 3 grandchildren: Elizabeth, Sarah and John Kinney, and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late John C. Dewey and Thomas E. Dewey, and was the sister of the late John E. Harris and Louise M. McClincy.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Thursday August 21st at 8:15 AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. with a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church 1 Church SQ. Franklin at 9AM. Interment will take place at the family lot in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Corning, New York on Tuesday August 26, 2008 at 1:00 PM. Calling hours in Franklin are Wednesday August 20th from 7-9 PM.
