Raymond J. Guay, 86, of Manchester, died August 15, 2008, at Catholic Medical Center. He was born in Colebrook, August 27, 1921, and was the son of Henry and Lillian (Beliveau) Guay.
He enlisted in the United States Army in 1942 and served until 1945. Raymond saw action in the Asiatic Pacific theater, as well as the liberation of the Philippines.
He worked for many years as a furniture maker throughout the state. Most notably the Ethan Allen Company.
Family members include his children, Lori Courcy, of Manchester, Daniel Guay, of Troy, Arnold Guay, of MA, Irene Mooney, of VA, Helen Guay, of CA; a step-daughter, Shirley Langlois, of Goffstown; a step-son, George Blake, of Manchester; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins; he was predeceasedby his wife, Luella, and son Kevin, and his stepson, John Blake.
A Funeral Liturgy took place in the funeral home on Friday, August 22, 2008.
Burial took place in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
