MIDDLEBORO – Flora M. (Jardullo) Simas, wife of the late Charles Simas, died at Morton Hospital on Aug. 15th following a short illness. She was 85.
Born in Middleboro, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Concetta (Desimoes) Jardullo.
A lifelong resident of Middleboro, she attended Middleboro schools and was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.
An employee of the former Lakeville Hospital, she worked there as a domestic aide for over 17 years, before retiring in 1984.
She enjoyed playing Bingo and visiting Foxwoods.
She leaves a son, Charles Simas and his wife Beverly of Wareham; a daughter, Carol A. Haskell and her husband Charles of E. Wareham; 4 grandchildren, Marie Mendes of Middleboro, David Mendes of Berkley, Justin Simas of Taunton, and Alex Simas of Wareham; 3 great-grandchildren, Michelle, Jayda and Justin, and several nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late Ann Wallace, Lena Garafalo, Dorothy Zilonis, and Dominic and Angelo Jardullo.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Wednesday, Aug. 20th at 9:45 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Sacred Heart Church, Middleboro at 11 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Middleboro. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling Hours will be Tuesday, from 5 to 8 p.m.
