Salvatore Magazzu, age 100 of Medford, died Wednesday in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Medford following a brief illness. He is the beloved husband of the late Giuseppina (Casale).
Born in Messina, Sicily, son of the late Paolo and the late Maria Magazzu. Salvatore moved to the United States in 1960 and has lived in Medford since 1970. For many years he was a machinist at the former Schraffts Candy Company, Charlestown.
He is the devoted father of Paolo Magazzu and his wife Elia, Giovanna Capone her husband Jerry all of Medford, the late Maria Puleio and Carmelo Magazzu. Father in law of Anna Maria Magazzu. Loving grandfather 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Monday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
