Rita V. (Healy) Bobst of Brockton died Thursday August 14, 2008 at Tufts Medical Center, Boston after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Harry T. Bobst, Jr. Born and raised in Jamaica Plain, she was a daughter of the late Bernard and Mary (Mulrey) Healy and had been a resident of Brockton since 1973. Prior to her marriage she was a flight attendant for Eastern Airlines and had also been a real estate broker for Chart Realty in Brockton and most recently was a food demonstrator at Costco in Avon. She had been an active member and officer at T.O.P.S. in Whitman. Rita and her friends most enjoyed their after meeting trips to Christos. Rita was an avid Red Sox fan and was most especially proud of her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by four sons, Gary, Sr. of Attleboro, Greg of Brockton, Harry III and his wife Kathy of Attleboro and Keith Bobst and his wife Annmarie of Brockton, seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Bernard, Paul, Lawrence and Thomas Healy, Mary Manton and Theresa Hayes.
Visiting hours in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte123) Brockton Sunday 4-7pm with a prayer service at 6:30pm. Graveside services will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne Monday at 10:30am.
