REESOR, MARSHALL C. JR., 64, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2008 in Athens, TX. Born in Brandenburg, KY, he was the son of the Catherine Reesor and the late Marshall Reesor Sr.
He had served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1962-66 in Youngstown, NY. While in the Coast Guard he met and married the love of his life, the late Angela (D'Aloise) Reesor. He worked at Occidental Petroleum Co. in Niagara Falls, NY, where he retired after 32 years of service.
He was an avid pilot and fisherman. He moved to Dallas, TX in 2000 and started his own trucking company. He moved to Gun Barrell City, TX, where he spent many hours fishing and boating on Cedar Lake.
He was a wonderful dad, a caring grandfather and a great friend and neighbor to many. He will be remembered as a kind, loving, generous and talented man.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 31 years, Mary Angela Reesor; and a sister, Mary Krack.
He is survived by his children, Barbara Sivells (Mike) and John Reesor (Julie); grandchildren, Joey and Arianna Sivells and Ethan and Alyssa Reesor; his mother, Catherine Reesor; brothers, James and David Reesor; sisters, Margaret Adams, Catherine Fay Wilkins and Thelma Ann Logsdon; and many in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be noon Saturday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with burial to follow in Garnettsville Cemetery, Garnettsville, KY.
Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Friday.
