Somerville, Frances A. Scienzo, age 74 of Somerville, died Wednesday in her home following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Scienzo was born in Somerville, the daughter of the late Dominic and the late Louise (Develis) Camelio. She was a Somerville resident for most of her life. She worked for over twenty years in the central supply department at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford, she retired in 1998. Mrs. Scienzo was an active member of Health Works of Porter Sqaure in Cambridge and enjoyed dancing and going to different shows, she also loved gardening. Mrs. Scienzo is the beloved mother of Janet Dixey of No. Reading, Maureen Francis of Billerica, Richard and Mark Scienzo both of Somerville and the late Diane Scienzo. Mrs. Scienzo is also survived by two grandsons, Thomas and Eric Francis. Sister of Mary Fumicello of Woburn, Louise Brown of Warwick, RI, the late Elizabeth Souza and Lydia Pandorf.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main St. Medford, Saturday, at 8 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 45 Alewife Brook Pkwy. Cambridge, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 thru 8. Services will cocnlude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
