Obituary

Jack M. Goldberg of Revere and formerly of Chelsea died at the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home on August 12, 2008. He was 81 years old.

Jack was the beloved wife of Ruth (Frim). He was born in Chelsea and attended the Chelsea schools and high school. Jack went on to serve in the United States Navy during World War Two and was a proud member of the Jewish War Veterans Prince Strauss Post in Revere. He was retired from Laundermac Incorporated.

Jack was the loving father of Alan Goldberg and his wife Lynne of Canton and Sandra Abramson and her husband Dr. Mitchell Abramson of Natick. He was the dear brother of Arthur Goldberg and his wife Marilyn, Bertha Miller, Selma Bossman, Edith Lemack, Paula Baer, Phyllis Barr and the late Barbara Zundell and Shirley Rutman. He was the loving grandfather of David, Jeffrey, and Daniel Goldberg as well as Jason and Jenny Abramson. He was also the loving great grandfather of Alexis Abramson.

Services at the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Avenue (Cary Sq.) on Thursday, August 14th, at 11:00 AM. Interment in Everett. Rabbi Nochum Cywiak will officiate. Memorial observance at his late residence on Thursday following interment; and Friday, August 15th, at the home of Alan and Lynne Goldberg from 12:00 Noon to 7:00 PM. Contributions in Jack’s memory may be made to the Chelsea Jewish Nursing Home Foundation, 17 Lafayette Avenue, Chelsea, MA 02150.
