June A. (Cockcroft) Mackie, 85, of Swansea passed away Monday, August 11, 2008 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of James H. Mackie.
Born in Fall River, she was daughter of the late Raymond and Marion (Abbot) Cockroft. Prior to retirement in 1987, she was an office manager for the former Greater Fall River Mental Health Association Clinic. Mrs. Mackie was a member of the Royal Travelers Club of Fall River.
Including her husband, survivors include a son: Jay Mackie of Westport; a granddaughter: Katherine Bean of Acushnet; and several nieces and nephews.
She was mother of the late Bonnie Bean and sister of the late Phylis King and Betty Bennett.
Visitation to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday from 5 - 7 P.M.
Funeral services will be private.
