Violet (Williamson) Caissey, 83, of Marion, formerly of New Bedford and Fairhaven, died Monday March 24, 2003 at Sippican Healthcare Center in Marion after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Arthur J. Caissey.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Albert and Blanche (Wilson) Williamson, she had lived in New Bedford for most of her life.
Mrs. Caissey was a member of Fairhaven Village Senior Citizens. She liked to travel and do crafts, and enjoyed being with her family.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Lorraine Young of Acushnet, and Priscilla "Pat" Everman of Sandwich; 5 grandchildren, Richard Rucker and Derek Everman, both of Wareham, Tracey Hannouche and Marc Everman, both of Sandwich, and Lisa Campbell of Acushnet; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.She was the sister of the late Albert Williamson, Gladys Bergeron and Gerald Williamson.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday March 27, 2003 at 11 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park Street, New Bedford. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery, New Bedford.
