Maurice N. “Moe” Lataille, 63, of Thomas St., Woonsocket, died Monday evening at home. He was the former husband of Claire (Baillargeron) Lataille.
Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Joseph and Aurore (Cote) Lataille. He was a lifelong resident of the city.
Mr. Lataille was employed by the Woonsocket Police Department as a custodian for several years and previously worked for Miler Eclectic for many years. Moe also worked with his brothers at the family business, the former Premium Cleaners on Central St. in Manville
Moe was a longtime communicant of Precious Blood Church, and a former member of the St. Joseph Veterans Assoc.
He is survived by two sons, Joseph O. Lataille, of Woonsocket, and Daniel Lataille, of ME, a daughter, Shirley Lataille-Mills, of ME, two brothers, Aldor “Al” Lataille, of Woonsocket ,and Roland Lataille, of Manville, and sister, Doris Laban, of Manville. He was the father of the late Tina Lataille and brother of the late Blanche and Yvonne Lataille, and Estelle Latimore. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Kiersten Lataille, of Coventry, and Kelsey Mills, of ME, and many nieces and nephews.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10:00am in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Precious Blood Cemetery, Rathbun St., Woonsocket. Visiting hours are Saturday morning from 8:00-9:30 am in the Menard Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket, prior to Mass.
