Obituary

Albert H. Dick, 91, of Derry, NH, died Sunday, August 10, 2008 in the Hanover Hill Healthcare Center in Manchester, NH. Mr. Dick was born in Derry on March 4, 1917, a son of the late Benjamin and Sybil (Johnson) Dick and was a lifelong resident. He was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy in Derry, Class of 1937. Mr. Dick was a US Marine veteran serving during WWII. He was employed as an assistant manager for Agway in Derry for 35 years, until retirement. Mr. Dick enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Edna (Purdy) Dick of Derry; his daughter, Nancy Scott of Auburn, NH; six grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; his brother, Bernard Dick of Londonderry; his sister, Doris Nickerson of Londonderry; as well as several nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, August 13th at 1:30pm in the Forest Hill Cemetery, Hampstead Rd., E. Derry. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc., Northeast Affiliate, 2 Wall St., Manchester, NH 03101. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is handling the arrangements.
