Deborah “Debbie” L. Davis, age 59, of Sandown, NH, died on Thursday, August 7, 2008 at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH. Born in Chiago, IL, on June 7, 1949, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence Arthur and Phyllis (Burk) Hower. Debbie was a special education teacher with the Windham School System, and was a dedicated active member of St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church in Sandown, where she was involved with the choir for 20 plus years. She was very proud of her mission work, especially the last three years, as she dedicated her time to the victims of hurricane Katrina in Hackberry, LA.
Debbie was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all. She is survived by her two daughters, Kara Hunt of Morrisville, VT and Emily Piergallini and her husband John “Max” of Sandown; two grandchildren, Ella Can of Morrisville, VT, and Lliam Piergallini of Sandown; two sisters, Nancy Hausler and Cynthia Hower both of Arlington Heights, IL.; and her former husband, Jonathan Hunt of Guildhall,VT.
Calling hours were held on Monday, August 11, 2008 from 5-8pm at Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St. Derry, NH. A Funeral service was held on Tuesday, August 12th, at 2:00pm at St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church, 381 Main St., Sandown, with interment that followed Center Cemetery in Sandown.
