Etta Martina "Tina" Bennett Sumner, 53, of Tifton died Friday, August 8, 2008, at her residence. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 11, 2008, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Danny Ray will officiate with a private burial to be held at a later date. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 11, 2008, from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Ms. Sumner was born on June 17, 1955 in Waycross and was the daughter of Martin Kirkland and Lucille Leverett Bennett, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her step-father, Paul Don Bennett. She was a customer service representative.
Ms. Sumner is survived by her son, John David "J. D." Sumner of Americus; one brother, Michael Kirkland of Cecil; one sister, Margi Atkinson of Tifton; one niece, Misti Archambault of Lee, Florida; and two nephews, Michael Kirkland of Lake Park amd Paul Rowell of Cartersville.
