Horace S. Stevens, 90, of Derry, NH, died Thursday, August 7, 2008 in the Pleasant Valley Nursing Center, Derry. Mr. Stevens was born in Lynn, MA on August 27, 1917, a son of the late John F. and Mary (Scott) Stevens. He was a longtime resident of Derry. Mr. Stevens worked as a milkman for Ross Corner Dairy in Derry. He was also employed at Woodmont Orchards in Londonderry for over 40 years. Mr. Stevens was a 50 year member of the St. Mark’s Lodge #44 F & AM and a life member of Bell Chapter #25 Royal Arch Masons, both of Derry. He enjoyed traveling and going on cruises.
He is survived by his extended family, his friends and his caregivers.
Following cremation, graveside services were held 1:00pm Tuesday, August 19, 2008 in the Pine Grove Cemetery, 329 Main St., Salem, NH. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark’s Lodge #44 F & AM, 58 E. Broadway, Derry, NH 03038.
