Pansy Hopkins of Water Valley, MS died Thursday, August 7, 2008 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, N MS, in Oxford, MS. She was born in Campbell, MO to the late George and Ethel Bess Bedwell. She served as Deputy Circuit Clerk of Yalobusha County for many years and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Water Valley, MS.
A visitation is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Friday evening, August 8, 2008 in the Oak Room at Seven Oaks Funeral Home. The service will be held at 5:00 p.m. in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home on Saturday, August 9, 2008 with a visitation time beginning at 4:30 p.m. until the service begins. Rev. Bill Forsyth will be officiating the service and burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Pansy is survived by a duaghter, Cheryl Harris and husband Jerry, of Mooreville, MS; a sister, Lucille Williams of Campbell, MO; and two grandchildren, Chris and Kayla Butts of Tupelo, MS, and Mandy Butts and Brian Brazeal of Unity, MS.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roy Hopkins in 1999, her son, Gary Hopkins, and a brother, John Bedwell.
