
Claire M. Searles, 89, of Londonderry, NH, passed away after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 in the Hillsborough County Nursing Home in Goffstown, NH. Mrs. Searles was born in Montreal, Canada on August 13, 1918, a daughter of the late George and Rose (Simard) Dupere, and was a resident of Londonderry for over 55 years. She was a devoted Catholic and was a communicant of St. Jude Parish in Londonderry. Mrs. Searles enjoyed gardening, baking, taking morning walks and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She is survived by four daughters, Elaine Dalton of Londonderry, Brenda Cote of Hooksett, NH, Lucille Dionne of Manchester, and Rose Searles of Penacook, NH; her son, Brian Searles of Topsfield, MA; ten grandchildren; five great grandsons; two sisters, Rita Gosselin and Theresa Douville both of Manchester; three brothers, Ben Dupere, Roger Dupere, both of Calif., and Armand Dupere of Derry, NH. She was predeceased by her husband Albert E. Searles in 1997.
Calling hours were held on Monday, August 11th from 5 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00am in St. Jude Parish, 435 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. The burial followed in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Londonderry.
