Obituary

Richard F. "Rick" DeCola Jr., 54, of Amherst, died August 6, 2008 at his residence after a sudden illness.
He was born in Boston, MA, on March 13, 1954, the son of Kathleen Lamonte and Richard F. DeCola Sr. He was a graduate of Bishop Guertin High School. He had resided in Bedford for many years prior to his move to Amherst several months ago.
He served in the US Air Force.
Richard had been employed as a national sales executive with Golden Lighting.
He will be remembered as a loving family man who most enjoyed spending time with his wife, daughters, and granddaughter.
Members of his family include his wife of nearly 30 years, Colleen DeCola of Amherst; two daughters, Alexandra DeCola of Amherst and Meredith Trudel and her husband Jeff Trudel, both of Amherst; one granddaughter, Chloe Trudel of Amherst; his mother, Kathleen E. DeCola of Merrimack; his father and step mother, Richard F. and Carol DeCola of Bedford; two sisters, Donna Dufour of Bedford and Debra Beaudry of Merrimack; one brother, Ronald K. DeCola of Manchester; nephews, nieces, and cousins.
The funeral service was Saturday, August 9, 2008 in the funeral home chapel. Burial followed in Edgewood Cemetery, Nashua.
