WEBSTER – Mary Louise (Mayette) Devlin Talbot, 90, formerly of Slater St., was peacefully born into eternal life on Wednesday, August 6, in the Overlook Masonic Health Care in Charlton. Her husband of 28 years, Chester P. Devlin died in 1964.
She leaves 2 sons, Kenneth D. and his wife Carole Devlin of Ashford, CT and the Reverend Chester J. Devlin of Douglas; 1 daughter, Linda M. and her husband Leonard Orasz of Thompson, CT; 7 grandchildren, Chris Devlin, Denise Radell, Scott Devlin, Darleen McKinstry, Brenda Mills, Susan Leite and Robert Manski, Jr.; 20 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Henry Mayette and sisters Eva Denning, Lillian Buckner, Dora Gagnon, Harriet Girardin and Alice Defilippo.
She was born in Cranston, RI, a daughter of Joseph and Susie (Balthazar) Mayette. She lived in Webster and Dudley all her life.
Mrs. Talbot was a packer for many years at B & W Footwear in Webster. She was a member of Saint Louis Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and mostly her grandchildren. She loved dancing, enjoyed eating out and caring for others.
The funeral will be held Saturday, August 9, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main St., Webster, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Louis Church, 14 Lake St. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Dudley. Calling hours will be from 5:00 to 9:00 PM Friday, August 8, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Saint Louis School Endowment Fund, 15 Lake St., Webster, MA 01570 or to a charity of ones choice.
