James T. McFarland, 72, died unexpectedly on Monday, August 4, 2008 while vacationing in Indiana. Born on September 25, 1935 in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late James P. and Margaret (Thomas) McFarland.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Ruth F. (Loring) McFarland of Travelers Rest, SC. He is also survived by his four children, a son, Kevin E. McFarland of Londonderry, NH, and three daughters, Lisa A. Wilson and Lynne M. McFarland, both of Manchester, NH and Pamela J. McFarland of Londonderry, NH. Mr. McFarland is also survived by his eight grandchildren and his sister, Gail M. Mahoney of Mashpee, MA.
A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Mr. McFarland was the owner and operator of Jamesway Studio of Photography in Reading, MA. He was also a past President of the Massachusetts Professional Photographers Association. Mr. McFarland was an Air Force veteran and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Calling hours were held on Sunday, August 10th from 3 to 6 pm at the Peabody Funeral Home and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Monday, August 11th, 2008 at 10:00am at St. Jude Parish, 435 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH. Interment will be held at a later date at Liberty Plain Cemetery in Hingham, MA. Memorial Contributions may be made to The Christian Foundation for Children and Aging, P.O.
