John McGurl, 59, a resident of Lynett Village, Allied Services, formerly of Blakely, died Monday at Moses Taylor hospital.
Born in Peckville, son of the late Bernard and Pauline Pruzinsky McGurl, he was a graduate of the Scranton State School for the Deaf.
Surviving are a sister, Helen Gesiotto, Springfield, Va.; nieces and nephews; and friends and staff at Lynett Village.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Preambo; brother-in-law, Quinto Gesiotto; and an aunt and uncle, Mary and Andrew Pruzinsky
Blessing services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Michael P. Glinsky Funeral Home Inc., 129 Grant St., Olyphant. Interment, Holy Ghost Cemetery.
