Alice R. (Robinson) Costa, 84, of Marion died Monday August 4, 2008 at Sippican Healthcare Center after a brief illness. She was the wife of Manuel C. "Buddy" Costa.
Born in Marion, the daughter of the late Charles and Alice (Quinn) Robinson, she lived in Marion for most of her life.
Mrs. Costa was formerly employed as a telephone operator for New England Telephone, and later worked as a dispatcher for the Marion Police and Fire Departments for 28 years until her retirement.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Linda Costa of Marion and Patricia Ferguson and her husband Neil of New Bedford; a sister, Frances Mazzerole of New Bedford; two grandchildren, Gena Costa and Staff Sgt. Terrell Costa and his wife Danielle; and three great-grandchildren, Andre Costa, Daquan Costa, and Tyzhaya Costa.
