John F. Bumpus of Marlboro, formerly of Weston, passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Sunday, August 3, 2008 after a brief illness. He was 42.
A joyful person and proud father, he was born on May 6, 1966 in Concord and was the beloved son of Mona (Carson) Bumpus of Wayland and the late Frederick J. Bumpus. He was a graduate of Weston High School and Springfield College. John enjoyed golfing and spending time with his friends, family and loved ones.
He is survived by his loving children Ryan and Ashley Bumpus of Marlboro. He was the brother of Ann Bumpus, Kathryn Bumpus and David and Kristine Bumpus. He was the uncle of Lisa, Zia, Brian, Christopher and Austin.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St., (Rt.16) Wellesley, Thursday at 10 AM. Funeral mass in St. Julia’s Church, Weston, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 PM. Interment Linwood Cemetery, Weston. Friends and family are invited to attend a gathering at St. Julia’s Parish Center immediately following the committal services.
