Wilton F. Moore, Jr., 75, Clarksville, died Monday, August 4, 2008, at Alvin C. York Veterans Hospital, Murfreesboro, TN. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Neal-Tarpley Chapel. Burial will be in Gum Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and from 11 a.m. until the hour of the service Thursday at the funeral home. Neal-Tarpley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born February 17, 1933 in Montgomery County son of Wilton F. Moore, Sr. and Nettie Mae Smith Moore. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Stella Faye Black Moore. Mr. Moore was a member of Hilldale Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and served during the Korean Conflict. He worked Civil Service at Ft. Campbell. Survivors include his son, Shane Moore,Clarksville; two brothers, Phil Moore, Los Angeles, CA; Calvin Moore, Nashville, TN; two sisters, Ruth Williams, Baton Rouge, LA; and Angie Reece, Pensacola, FL; and one granddaughter, Rebecca Moore, Clarksville. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Members of the Senior Men's Sunday School class of Hilldale Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
