Norman L. La France, age 76, of Westport for 44 years. Passed away Aug. 3, 2008 in Fall River. Husband of Lorraine (Alfonso) La France. Born in Portland, Maine, the son of the late Louis O. & Cecelia F. (Belisle) La France. Prior to retiring, Mr. La France worked as a Hydraulic Press Operator for Haskon Corp. in Taunton. He was a parishioner of St. George’s Church, Westport.
Besides his Wife of Westport, he is survived by 2 children: Wayne N. La France of Providence, RI & Sharon Rego of Westport. 3 siblings: Robert O. La France of Fall River, Raymond A. La France of San Francisco, CA & Jean Fernandes of Westport. 4 grandchildren: Kyle W. La France, Scott K. Rogers, Noah C. & Jocelyn F. Rego. Several nieces & nephews. He was the father of the late Kyle La France & brother of the late Theresa Francoeur.
His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St. Thursday at 8:45 A.M. followed by a funeral mass in St. George’s Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M. Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport. Calling hours Wednesday 4-8 P.M.
