Obituary

Prentice Marshall "P.M." Horn, 83, of Chula died Saturday, August 2, 2008, at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2008, in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Rev. Herman Walker will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Ronnie McCurdy, George Wright, Adam Horn, Frank Tucker, Floyd Tucker and Steve Harrell will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 4, 2008, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.

Mr. Horn was born on January 7, 1925 in Stanton, Texas and was the son of James William Horn and Gladys Mae Horn, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by an infant son, James William Horn; and two brothers, Pete Horn and Guy Horn. He was a retired cattleman and of the Methodist faith. He served in the United States Navy from 1942 to 1944.

Mr. Horn is survived by his wife, Annie Elizabeth Adams Horn of Chula, one son and daughter-in-law, Marshall and Donna Horn of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, Joann and Dunbar Hankinson of Tifton; four grandchildren, Lauren Massey, Emily Horn, Monica Horn and Adam Horn; and two great grandchildren, Ali Grace Massey and Josie Kate Massey.
