
NEW BEDFORD — Pauline C. (Dupuis) Puscizna, age 89 years, formerly of King Street in New Bedford, died Friday, August 1, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was a resident of Brandon Woods of Dartmouth. A life long area resident, she was born in New Bedford to Damase H. and Marie J. (Simon) Dupuis and was the widow of Mitchell Puscizna.
For many years, she was employed at Eastern Sportswear as a talented seamstress, and ran an alterations business with her sister Josephine at home. Pauline was a communicant of Our Lady of Perpetual Help.
Mother of the late Barbara Souza, she is survived by her sister Josephine Frade of West Wareham and sister Marie Ann Gryss of New Bedford, four brothers-Raymond Dupuis of Florida, Wilfred Dupuis of New Bedford, Jules Dupuis of Dartmouth and Joseph (Peter) Dupuis of California, cousin Paula Brown of New Bedford, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and her sister-in-law Helen Puscizna of Fairhaven. She was sister of the late Agnes Sullivan, Celeste Mott, Blanche Plante, Theresa Charbonneau and John Dupuis.
Visitation will take place at the Wilson Chapel, 479 County St., NB on Tuesday, August 5, 2008, from 9-10 A.M. with a funeral service at 10 A.M. followed by burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery #2. www.wilsonchapel.net.
