
Pearl L. Strangis, 72 years of Brockton died Friday August 1, 2008 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born, raised and educated in Brockton, a daughter of the late Armand and Rose L. (Coit) Strangis, Sr. She had been employed for many years by various shoe manufacturing companies in Brockton. Pearl enjoyed spending time with family and friends, bingo, playing cards and trips to Foxwoods. She was also an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and Elvis Presley.
She is survived by a sister Mary R. (Sargo) Canty and her husband Joseph, Sr. of S. Easton, her twin brother Armand “Sonny” Strangis, Jr. and his wife Geraldine of Whitman, a brother John J. Strangis, Sr. of Brockton, a former sister in law Eleanor M. “Ellie” Strangis of Brockton; her devoted best friend Geraldine Clark of Taunton and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Ivy L. Bell and Beatrice M. (Bell) Fisher.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday at 9am. Funeral Mass at Holy Ghost Church, Whitman at 10am. Burial in St. James Cemetery. Visiting hours Monday 4-8pm.
