
Methuen, MA- Gilberte G. (Sirois) Plouffe, 85, died Thursday July, 31, 2008 at her home with her loving family. Gilberte was born in Lawrence, daughter of Eustache and Blanche (Beaulieu) Sirois.
Gilberte was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Lawrence and has been a long time resident of Methuen since 1945. Prior to its closing she was an attendant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, and after its closing became an attendant of St. Monica’s. She was devoted to her family and loved to spend time with them. She enjoyed cooking and reading as well as solving crossword puzzles.
The widow of Paul E. Plouffe, Gilberte will be sadly missed by her children, Paul and his wife Gayle of Pelham NH, Richard and his wife Kathleen of Methuen, Susan and her companion Stephen Pearson of Bradford, Rachel Conway and her husband Mark of Methuen, Gerard and his wife Kathy of Hollis, NH and Ronald Plouffe of Lawrence MA. She also leaves two brothers, Maurice and Raymond Sirois both of Lawrence. She was especially proud of her three grandchildren, Sarah Plouffe, Julie-Anne and husband Daniel Cote and Stephen Plouffe as well as several nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may call on Tuesday, August 5th, 2008 from 5-7 PM at Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence St. Methuen, MA. . A mass of Christian Burial will take place Wednesday, August 6th at 9a.m at St. Monica’s Church. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
