James J. Carr, age 34, of Woburn died suddenly July 30th following injuries from an automobile accident. Born in Woburn he was the beloved son of Janice D. (Paulucci) and Frederick L. Carr of Woburn.
Jay was a lifelong resident of Woburn and graduated from Woburn High School in 1993. Following high school Jay began working as an auto mechanic and over the years he worked for several local dealerships and also worked for the City of Woburn's D.P.W. Jay enjoyed time spent with his family and loved working on cars and was a big fan of the Boston Red Sox.
In addition to his parents, Jay is survived by his sisters, Janet Sutton, Susan Sutton and Catherine Carr all of Woburn, and brothers, Charlie Carr of Woburn, Frederick Carr Jr. of Billerica and Patrick Carr of Illinois. He also survived by his loving goddaughter Samantha and is further survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, Monday, at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Charles Church, 280 Main St., Woburn, at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home will be on Sunday from 2 -4 & 7-9. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
