Michael A. Marinella passed away on July 30, 2008 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford. He was 92 years old.
Born in the North End of Boston, Michael was a longtime resident of Medford and a Malden resident for 18 years. He served in the U. S. Army during WWII. After serving his country, Michael went to work for Lewis Candy and retired after 42 years of service.
Michael was married to Mary (Fishera) Marinella, his devoted wife of 54 years. He was the beloved father of Stephen Marinella and his wife Linda Jo of Florida, Mark Marinella and his fiancé Tisha of Winchester and Lisa DiLorenzo and her husband Robert of Wilmington. Michael was the dear brother of Jean DiRusso of California and the cherished grandfather of 7 grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The Funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Saturday August 2nd at 8:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Hearts Church, 297 Main Street, Malden at 9:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Friday, August 1st from 4-8 p.m. Interment Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield.
