Dorothy Wade Strong, 85, of Summerville, widow of Hogan Theron Strong died Tuesday morning, July 29, 2008 at Oakbrook Health and Rehabilitation.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, July 31, 2008 at 10 o’clock at Knightsville Baptist Church, Summerville. Burial will follow in Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Knightsville Baptist Church Mission Fund, 1970 Central Ave. Summerville, SC 29483.
Mrs. Strong was born April 1, 1923 in Chester, South Carolina, daughter of the late Luther Alexander Wade and Mamie Elizabeth Crawford Wade. She was a graduate of Chester High School and Charlotte Business College. She worked as a secretary for Westinghouse Appliance Sales and Piedmont Natural Gas. She was a member of Knightsville Baptist Church.
