Manuel Machado, age 80 of Somerset. Husband of Maria Lucilia (Vieira) Machado & son of the late Caitao and Elena (Cabral) Machado. Passed away in Stoughton, MA, July 28, 2008. Born in Mosteiros, Sao Miguel, Azores, he was a Somerset resident for 26 years, previously of Fall River. He was a parishioner of St. Michael Church and was a member of the Afonso Costa Republican Club. He was a retired carpenter having worked at Horner Mill Works.
Besides his wife, he is survived by 2 children: Carlos and Tiago Machado both of Somerset & several nieces & nephews. He was brother of the late Caitao and Tiago Machado.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St. Friday at 9:30 A.M. followed by a funeral mass in St. Michael Church, Essex St. at 10:30 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Robeson St. Calling hours Thursday 5-8 PM.
