Obituary

NORTH GRAFTON-Florence C. (Pluff) Shaughnessy-Zambarano of 16 Second Street formerly of 507 Main Street, Worcester died Friday, March 21st at home after an illness. Her husband, Thomas E. Zambarano died in 1995. She leaves a son, Martin Shaughnessy of South Yarmouth; a daughter, Kathleen Nolan of North Grafton with whom she lived; 5 granddaughters, 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 2 sisters and a brother predeceased her.

She was born in North Dana, MA the daughter of Peter and Eva (Piette) Pluff and lived in Worcester for many years before recently moving to North Grafton. Mrs. Zambarano worked as an inspector for the former Sports Guide Company in Worcester for many years before retiring. She previously worked as a waitress for various Worcester restaurants. She was a member of the Cathedral of St. Paul in Worcester.

The funeral will be Monday, March 24th from O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester with a Mass at 10:00 AM in the Cathedral of St. Paul, 15 Chatham Street, Worcester. Entombment will be in Notre Dame Mausoleum, Worcester. Calling hours will be Sunday, March 23rd from 3:00 until 6:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
