Manchester– Hedwidge G. Martineau, 92, died July 27, 2008 at Ridgewood Center Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Manchester on June 19, 1916, the daughter of Edmond and Eugenie (Ouellette) Gagnon. She had been a lifelong resident of the city.
She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, knitting ,sewing and shopping.
She was predeceased by her husband Leo Martineau in 1958, and two sons, Albert Martineau in 1975, and Edmond Martineau Sr. in 2005.
Family members include one son Robert D. Martineau, of Manchester, four daughters, Mrs. Robert (Annette) Paquin, Mrs. Robert (Cecile) Lefebvre, both of Manchester, Mrs. Richard (Irene) Merrill, of Hudson, Mrs. James (Suzanne) Keegan, of Manchester, 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, two sisters Mrs. Armand (Doris) Trotta, of Southington CT, and Claire Vincent, of Nakomis FL.
Services: A Memorial reception will take place on Wednesday at 10 am at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home 110 Bridge St.
