Matthew K. Walsh, of Woburn, age 15, died Wednesday at the Children´s Hospital in Boston. Matthew was a freshman student at Woburn High School where he had many friends and was a member of the freshman basketball team. Matthew loved playing basketball but was also active in Pop Warner football, Little Leaque Baseball and enjoyed participating in different programs at the Woburn Boys and Girls Club. Matthew enjoyed being with his friends and family. Matthew is survived by his loving parents, Mary (D´Agostino) and Brian Walsh, two brothers, Brian Jr. and Stephen and one sister, Rachel Walsh all of Woburn. He is the cherished grandson of Patrick F. Walsh of Long Boat Key, FL and Rita R. (Taddonio) Walsh of Winchester, Samuel D´Agostino of Boca Raton, FL and the late Frances (Sweeney). Matthew is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, Monday at 9 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Barbara Church 138 Cambridge Rd. Woburn, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Saturday 7 - 9 PM and Sunday 4 thru 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester.
